Arranging showings and doing open houses is what we love to do! Let’s get started!
At the beginning there are a few important things to remember about both of these activities.
1. First Impressions Matter.
How your home looks from the outside is important. A clean driveway, a freshly mowed lawn, or a trimmed hedge works wonders
2. Make it Bright and Clean.
Cleanliness is a major influencer to most buyers. Bathrooms and kitchens especially so. Also important is having every area well lit. Turn on the lights, pull back the window coverings, and make your home shine.
Our treasures, keepsakes and daily products distract buyers from imaging how their things will fill the room. Make every room look as big and inviting as possible.
Most agent showings will be arranged through an inter-agent communication tool called Touch Base. We arrange viewings to suit the needs of both parties, but our primary concern will always be for your convenience. Occasionally you may receive a request on short notice, but access will always be at your discretion. You may also choose your days and hours to show. If you host renters, remember in British Columbia, renters must be given a full days notice before showing their premises. Please discuss this with any renters as soon as possible.
It is recommended that the home be vacated during showings. This allows buyers to view freely without interruption. A representative agent is always present at a showing, however important valuables should be safely removed or locked away before buyers arrive.
Please note that viewings often require the good will and efforts of many people. If you find you need to cancel after the viewing has been arranged, please provide as much advanced notice as possible.
Finally, any persons who show up at your door, even if they identify themselves as realtors, should be told to call me and request an appointment.
